Information for clients regarding COVID 19 safety precautions in place at Holistic Massage Therapies Mold

Dear Client,

Following the latest lockdown, the Welsh Government has now given approval for soft tissue therapists to return to work from 12thApril 2021. There will be some changes in how your appointment and treatment will proceed to prevent the spread of infection. Changes introduced are aimed to ensure best practice and to follow Government and Professional Association guidelines. Below I have listed some of the changes you can expect.

  • If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, such as listed below, please postpone or cancel your appointment.
    • New continuous cough or breathing difficulty
    • High temperature
    • Loss or change to your sense of taste or smell
  • Prior to your appointment, the following documents will be emailed to you for you to complete and return by email, prior to your appointment. Alternatively, both forms can be completed during a telephone conversation between myself and client:
    • Initial consultation form. For new clients only. This includes personal details such as:  name, age, address, GP, occupation, plus medical history and consent. Please note all information is confidential and only accessible by me.
    • Client COVID 19 Screening and Consent. This documents client information relating to COVID 19. Please note, if you are considered a high-risk client, it may not be possible to provide treatment to you at this time but please feel free to discuss this with me.
    • Therapist COVID 19 Declaration ? Client Copy. Your personal copy of my declaration to you regarding COVID 19 which will be emailed to you before your appointment.
  • Appointments will be spaced out to enable all necessary cleaning and disinfection to be undertaken between clients.
  • Please bring your own pen to sign documents and water if required. Unfortunately, I am no longer, due to COVID 19, able to supply these.
  • Please wear a face mask or face covering between entering and exiting the treatment room. Otherwise, I will supply you with a face mask to wear throughout your treatment.
  • It would also be helpful if you wear clothing which is easy to remove and avoid wearing jewellery.
  • On arrival to the car park and prior to entering the building, please telephone me on 07518065261. The purpose of this being:
    • To inform me that you have arrived.
    • To enable me to confirm your requirements and undertake an initial assessment by telephone, to help to minimise direct face to face communication in the treatment room. This applies to both new and returning clients.
  • Following this telephone conversation, I open the front door of the building for you followed by the treatment room door. Social distancing is required and unfortunately, handshakes not permitted.
  • I will be taking and recording your temperature upon arrival using a non-touch infrared thermometer.
  • Please attend your appointment alone. If chaperone or legal guardian / parent required, face covering must be worn, and social distancing adhered to throughout.
  • The QR code necessary for the NHS Test and Trace app, which is a requirement for all business premises, will be clearly displayed on the treatment room door and on fire door within the treatment room, ready for you to scan.
  • In the treatment room all unnecessary soft furnishings, ornaments, pictures, and leaflets will have been removed.
  • Upon arrival, you will be required to remove your shoes outside of the treatment room.
  • On entering the treatment room, you will be required to use hand sanitiser, please avoid touching anything unnecessarily whilst in the treatment room.
  • In the treatment room there will be a plastic covered container in which to put your clothes when you undress and all your personal belongings. Please note the container will be disinfected between clients.
  • Please note: The treatment room, treatment couch, face cradle and all equipment will have been thoroughly disinfected, and all towels and couch cover replaced, for each client.
  • Please also note, I will be wearing personal protective equipment throughout the treatment, which includes a face mask, face visor and disposable apron.
  • The treatment will proceed as usual, although unnecessary chatting should be avoided to prevent droplet formation.
  • When the treatment is over, please leave couch and towels untouched on the couch and try not to touch anything as you leave.
  • On exit from the treatment room, you will be required to use hand sanitiser and please keep your face covering on until you exit the premises.
  • Please place all cash payment in an envelope prior to arrival (envelope will be provided post treatment if required).
  • Please note that when any further appointments are made appointment cards can no longer be provided, due to COVID 19. I will text any agreed appointment date(s) and time(s) to you following your departure.
